AQUATIC CENTER - Tuesday, May 24th, 11:15-2:15:
This will be the activity for K-6, in place of this year’s Field Day. A permission slip (sent home last week) MUST be received for each child in order for them to attend. Please be sure you have read through the information page that was also sent home with the permission slip. It will give you information on what your child should wear, what they should bring, etc. If you do not want your child to attend, you are responsible to check them out of school before 11:30 am, as the school will be closed, with no staff to care for them.
In order for your student(s) to receive their yearbook, report card, and next year’s class assignment, any negative lunch balance must be paid and their library books must be turned in or fees paid, no later than Wednesday, May 25th. Any remaining lunch balances will be reviewed and may be sent to collections. For questions on lunch balances, call 801-452-4110; for questions on library books/fees, call 801-452-4108. (FYI, Lunch money due for remainder of school, May 19-26: Regular price $1.75/day = $10.50; Reduced price $.40 = $2.40)
LAST DAY OF SCHOOL - THURSDAY, MAY 26th:
All Kindergarten classes will meet 8:25 am -10:25 am; 1st-6th grade will meet 8:25 am -1:05 pm.
There are still extra yearbooks available for purchase. They are $15.00 each and will be first-come, first-served.
If you know your student(s) will not be returning to Freedom Elementary for the 2016-17 school year, please fill out a Student Moving Form found in the office or contact the office at 801-452-4100.
LOST & FOUND:
Please take a moment to look through our overflowing Lost and Found bin. (Larger items are in the main kiva; smaller items, such as glasses, hairbands, etc. are in the office.) Anything not claimed by the last day of school will be donated to a charity organization.

Spanish Immersion News
If you know of any students in the surrounding areas that speak fluent
Spanish, please let us know. We have space in out 2nd-5th grade Dual
Immersion classes, and would love to fill in some of those spots that
have been left vacant due to student move-outs, etc.

SCHOOL LUNCH ACCOUNTS:
Our goal to bring all lunch accounts current continues. Please view your child's account balance by logging in or creating a portal account at https://myweber.wsd.net . If you find that your child has a negative balance, you may make your payment in the lunchroom, in the office, or online at https://myschoolfees.com.
Anyone with a continued negative balance may receive a phone call from their student, a notice sent home with the amount owed, and may also be subject to collection action. If you have questions or need further assistance please contact lunch manager, Lynette Howard immediately at 801-452-4110. Thank you.

Parking Lot Procedures:
As we start the school year we wanted to provide an important safety reminder on Parking Lot Procedures.
Please follow these important rules, while picking and dropping off your precious children at Freedom.
Loading Zone : Curbside loading and unloading only, no parking/leaving vehicle, please pull forward
Driving Through Lane :NOT for pick-up or drop-off, but only for driving through the parking lot
Students must always be accompanied by an adult when walking across
the street or parking lot
Red Zones are fire lane and tow away zones
Bus zones : Are for buses and school approved daycare providers only
