The items that were discussed:
 To help us understand the different items that are discussed, it is helpful for us to remember
that we are talking about three different budget plans; one budget for the current year, the plan
that existed the previous year, and the proposed budget for the upcoming school year.
 Each plan has two goals that is the focus of our discussion and how we spend the allotted to
money to reach our goal.
The first goal states:
The second goal states:

 Jenny Ross explained the verbiage of 80% of our students being typical or above growth. In
order to determine that we are looking at the scores the students receive on their DIBELS
testing in reaching the Benchmark status. There is also access on that student’s profile that can
show how the student has grown in each area, showing typical or above typical growth as
compared to another student who would have the same categories or conditions. For example;
in FSF (First Sound Fluency) a student could show “typical growth” in that particular skill and
“above typical growth” in their PSF (Phoneme Segmentation Skill) skill.
 We are looking for 80% of our students to make “typical” or “above typical growth” progress, or
attain a composite score of benchmark or above on their DIBELS testing.
 Right now we have 51% of our students who have reached “typical” or “above typical growth”
and 62% showing proficiency.
 With the impact of COVID, Reading Horizons discovery program is being used to help our upper
grades with phonics, and phonemic skills.

An update of the school’s safety plan was given.
 Additional cameras have been placed in the halls, helping to resolve incidents that arise.
 Five more keyless doors will be installed enhancing our school’s safety.
 Voice enhancement systems will be purchased for the teacher, with a fob that can be used to
activate the device.

Next meeting to be held:
March 2 nd , with the plan for the upcoming school year to approved and signed by the 10 th of
