This year’s theme is Stop. Think. Choose. We found a silly song that goes with the theme. https://youtu.be/LrHMkKcNtq4
We are inviting everyone to:
- Wear the awareness color for 4 days. Blue, White, Red, Green.
- Look for 2 papers stapled together. Green Bingo & Internet Safety info for our WHITE DAY.
- Students will earn one small piece of candy for bingo or blackout.
- Watch some short videos
- Students will attend an assembly morning that ties all our topics together
We ordered a special memento to remember the week, and as a thank you for every student and staff member for participating! We’d love your support to help pull off a successful and inspiring week. Will you help teach our kids these 4 main topics?
- Internet Safety
- Being drug Free
- Pedestrian & Traffic Safety
You will notice some stop lights hung throughout the school in non-traditional colors, which represent each topic.
WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN?
Stop. Calm down. Take a deep breath. Consider what you (or others) are feeling. Wait a second and pay attention to what you’re about to do.
Think. What’s the problem? What are my options? What are the consequences? (good or bad) Will it get me into trouble? Ask yourself will it hurt me, others or things they care for?
Choose. Make your choice. Talk to someone you trust. Only you have the power to make the decisions that will affect your life.
DID YOU GET A BINGO CARD?
We designed a 16 box Bingo card for the kids to play during the week (attached at the end, but will be printed and sent home this Friday, March 9). As they pass off each task, they will either get a parent or teacher to initial the box. We will give one treat per student with either a blackout or bingo. At the end of the week, we have a surprise for everyone (including staff) for participating.
