DISCUSSION

At the end of last year we carried over a total of $467. We are only allowed to carry over a certain percent and we were under that by a long shot. Our original reading goal was to have 80% proficient by the end of the year. We ended with 89% proficient in reading.

CONCLUSIONS

We had a great year and are pushing for another great one this year.

AMENDMENT B

DIANE ROCKWOOD

DISCUSSION

As a council we thought it was important to discuss Amendment B which will be on the ballot in November. The amendment is to raise the percentage given to schools from the current 2% rate to a 4% rate. This will ensure the kids of that year are using the money in the fund for them. The amendment also makes it possible for the investors to invest in things that have an earning not just interest and dividends.

CONCLUSIONS

We encourage everyone to research this amendment and help spread the information about it to friends and family.

BLACK TOP AND BACK ENTRANCE OF SCHOOL

KIM CRUMP

DISCUSSION

Kim Crump is wondering where we are at as far as adding a back entrance to the school and the possibility of a walking track. Currently we need to find out who owns the ground behind the school and see if they would be willing to donate it to the school or somehow let us use it. We also need to get in touch with the owner of the home that he walkway would pass and see how they feel about the idea. We would like to do a school survey and see how parents feel about the idea and then find funding. Kim Crump is going to talk to the Homeowner and depending on her feelings we will move forward on apparent survey. Scott Zelmer is who we are currently working with on knowing what we need to do for this to happen.
