Freedom Elementary Community Council Meeting Minutes

Topics Discussed:

We approved the meeting minutes from the February 1, 2024 meeting.
We looked at the Trust Land Report for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
- We discussed the reading and math goal for the 2024-2025 school year. The reading goal was changed from 60% to 65% of students making typical or above progress.
- We went through the projected plan for next school year showing how the money will be allocated. Part of our money will be spent on getting voice enhancement systems in our classrooms. Some of the members wanted to learn more about these systems and the benefits.
- We voted and signed off on the draft for the 2024/2025 school year.
We discussed having signs out in the front of the school on the days we are having community council meetings to try and encourage more people to attend. We also talked about doing an election next school year to increase the amount of parents on the community council.
We discussed the safety of students crossing 4300 crosswalk and if there is anything we can do to make it more safe for students.

Action Items for next time:
- Digital Citizenship presentation from our district digital learning technology department.
